The physical safety and security of our children is of paramount concern. With that in mind, professional security patrol of all school entrances and perimeter are secured and monitored. These well trained security guards are in constant contact with the school office and administration, as well as with their own security headquarters. They also understand the mindset of children, and create an atmosphere of naturalness and ease.

Staff and parents are required to wear photo identification badges when on school grounds. Anyone not wearing a Maimonides Academy badge is required to enter the school through the main office where a temporary badge is issued. Badges and photos, for new parents, may be obtained in the front office. Replacement badges may be ordered through the front office for a moderate fee.

In addition, Maimonides Academy has created a Parent Security Committee. Part of the committees responsibility, is to ensure that all security related concerns are satisfactorily addressed in a proactive manner.

All cars picking up Maimonides Academy children during carpool must display, on the windshield of their car, a permanent Maimonides Academy identification (ID) sticker. No child is released to a car without an ID sticker. Maimonides ID stickers are available in the front office for all parents who's children attend Maimonides Academy. Our children's welfare can only be fully addressed when school and parents work hand-in-hand. Maimonides will expect and enforce total parental cooperation with regard to school security needs and procedures.

Additionally, all cars in the Maimonides Academy parking lot, as well as cars parked on Beverly Place, must also display the permanent Maimonides Academy ID sticker in their window. Any vehicle not displaying this ID sticker will quickly be towed away for security reasons.
