Rabbi Karmi Gross
Since 2002, Maimonides Academy in Los Angeles was fortunate to have Rabbi Karmi Gross join the school as principal of Maimonides Academy. His own principles of teaching and guidance have reflected the academy's values for almost 35 years. Rabbi Gross has dedicated his life to helping students and teachers achieve at the highest levels. The hallmark of his educational experience has been his commitment to children, tenacity for solving problems quickly and efficiently, and his goals of excellence for himself and others. Rabbi Gross has always believed that ability is what you're capable of doing: motivation determines what you do; and attitude determines how well you do it.

As principal, Rabbi Gross empowers teachers to be effective teacher leaders and share ownership in the school. He values collaboration where administrators and teachers see themselves as partners in fostering student successes. Rabbi Gross actively engages the community to create a shared responsibility for the success of the students and of the school. Throughout his years both in the classroom and as an administrator, he has placed student learning at the center of all decisions in the school. As an advocate for life-long learning he knows it's necessary to keep current on research, new techniques and best practices.
