Karmi Gross |
Since 2002, Maimonides
Academy in Los Angeles was fortunate to have
Rabbi Karmi Gross join the school as principal
of Maimonides Academy. His own principles
of teaching and guidance have reflected the
academy's values for almost 35 years. Rabbi
Gross has dedicated his life to helping students
and teachers achieve at the highest levels.
The hallmark of his educational experience
has been his commitment to children, tenacity
for solving problems quickly and efficiently,
and his goals of excellence for himself and
others. Rabbi Gross has always believed that
ability is what you're capable of doing: motivation
determines what you do; and attitude determines
how well you do it.
As
principal, Rabbi Gross empowers teachers
to be effective teacher leaders and share
ownership in the school. He values collaboration
where administrators and teachers see themselves
as partners in fostering student successes.
Rabbi Gross actively engages the community
to create a shared responsibility for the
success of the students and of the school.
Throughout his years both in the classroom
and as an administrator, he has placed student
learning at the center of all decisions
in the school. As an advocate for life-long
learning he knows it's necessary to keep
current on research, new techniques and
best practices. |
