Maimonides Academy is a member of the California Association of Independent Schools (CAIS), which sets the standards for the finest private schools throughout the state of California. In order to be considered and maintain its membership in CAIS, Maimonides Academy must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the physical, intellectual, moral and social development of students. It must be college preparatory and must offer small classes, a rich curriculum and individual attention. The school is also a member of the Educational Records Bureau (ERB) and the Bureau of Jewish Education (BJE).

Each spring, the comprehensive testing program, licensed by the EDU Records Bar (ERB), is administered to all Maimonides Academy students, grades 2-8. Maimonides consistently and significantly scores higher each year than national norms.

Maimonides students have also reached the national level of the National Bible Contest, received local awards for Outstanding Judaic Studies, reached the state championships of the National Geography Bee and have participated in the countywide Science Fair.
